Fire Under the Bridge- chapter 4
What is that smell?
His stomach grumbled as a heavenly smell lulled Rokoh out of sleep. When he tried to move however, he was stuck. Something unfamiliar held his body tightly together.
What is this?
In a panic, Rokoh opened his eyes and inspected his body. There was a blanket wrapped around his body, apparently materializing out of thin air. he squirmed in its tight embrace. The blanket was soft and thick; a feeling that he hadn’t felt in a while. After struggling a little bit, the blanket came loose. He remembered receiving that blanket last night, he must have wrapped it tight to keep out the cold.
The smell brought him back to h

Jiro could not sleep. Again he sat on the small porch and stared out onto the city. Somewhere out there was a man that could take away bending. Someone that could solve all of Jiro's problems and all the problems of the world. He felt the presence of someone else behind him. Jiro tried not to acknowledge them, but he hated the feeling of being watched. He turned to see who it was. Juno was there, and when Jiro turned she came to his side.
"I know what you're thinking." she spoke. "But I don't like it. Those Equalists are disgusting for taking bending away."
"No they're not." Jiro answered. "They just want to help the world."

"Lieutenant, I have someone that I would like you to meet." Amon stood between Jiro and the man that he talked to. With a name like lieutenant, he must be important.
Amon stepped aside and revealed Jiro to the man. He was taller than Amon, with a half mask over his face. He wore goggles and had a mysterious device fixed to his back. "It's a kid, what's so special about him?" He asked in a gravelly voice.
"He's a bender." Amon replied bluntly.
The man threw his arms to his back and pulled out a rod from the device on his back. "A bender!?!" He began to move towards Jiro, electricity fizzling from the rods. Jiro braced himself and closed his

A mechanical bridge moved to connect the gap between the prep area and the field. Jiro walked out onto the bridge with his teammates and waited for the edge to connect with the field. Light bathed them from the spotlights and a loud roar erupted from the audience.
"Introducing your first team, the Cabbage Corp Cabbage Slugs!! Just getting in to the competition by a wild card and getting a new firebender, we are eager to see how far they will go with this chance of a lifetime in the tournament!"
That moment was just magical. Jiro looked around at the crowds cheering, also seeing a gorgeous sparkle in the glass dome. Before he knew it, the br

Jang and Tinook were in the prep room as Jiro waltzed across the bridge in all his glory clutching his arm. He had done well by himself, surprising everyone with the incredible win. However none of his teammates congratulated him. An awkward silence drifted between them as Jiro debated what to say.
"So we did nice job out there." Jiro began.
"Yeah we did." Jang responded. Tinook didn't say anything as usual. Jiro fought to keep the conversation alive.
"So When do we practice? We can put out some new plan ideas."
"I don't know when. Maybe before the match next week." Jang responded,

Jiro groaned and rubbed his head. He opened his eyes and saw two figures standing before him. Instead of a cage this time Jiro was in bed. He let his eyes focus to realize who was standing before him: the Lieutenant and Amon.
"Next time you knock me out, do it less painfully." Jiro greeted the Lieutenant.
"You're a bender Jiro, you should be happy that I even let you live." The Lieutenant replied, taking an aggressive step forward.
"Enough Lieutenant." Amon commanded. Jiro never grew used to the fact that the mask never moved when Amon spoke. There still seemed to be some kind of over world
